Kathy Jacobs

Founder & Director

In 2011, Kathy took a semester off of college and spent three months in Guatemala with a group of college students from around the country. During her time in Guatemala, God broke her heart for His children there. She knew she couldn't go home and do nothing about what she saw. After graduating college in 2014, Kathy moved to Guatemala and started what is now Pure Joy Missions. Her desire is to see hope renewed, love restored, and hearts transformed for the Kingdom.  Kathy currently serves as our Executive Director and works as a nurse at a children's hospital in Central Pennsylvania.

Annie Wegman

Vice President & Administrative Support

In 2013, Annie traveled to Guatemala for the first time. Since then, she has faithfully and selflessly served Pure Joy. Annie serves on the Board as our Vice President. In addition, she helps with administrative support, photography, and support relations. We are so blessed by her!

Gerson & Elaine Cal

Missionary Support 

Gerson and Elaine currently reside in Canada and serve as support for our missionaries in Guatemala. In addition to working with our missionaries from afar, Gerson helps with graphic design work and Elaine helps with translating. Gerson and Elaine met in Guatemala while they were both serving as missionaries in Puerto Barrios and recently became husband and wife! They have been a huge blessing to the ministry over the last several years, and we are so thankful for them!
